So, in short, here’s what you should try to do to spice up your kitchen this spring:

1. bring in some new lighting

2. add new hardware

3. upgrade accessories and display them with pride

4. repaint cabinets in sweet, warm pastel colors or paint half of your cabinets, in a contrasting color

5. add sconces

6. rustic elements are welcome

7. add storage with simple shelves

8. install some roman shades

9. go crazy and paint the floor

10. find cheap stuff on Craigslist

11. get rid of your upper cabinet doors

12. buy some new dishes

13. update your old fridge in an extravagant manner: with chalkboard paint or make your own beadboard fridge cover
